My first visit

We welcome the opportunity to help you improve your oral health and give you a winning smile, here at Krause Comprehensive Dental Care in Montville, NJ. Your initial visit will allow us to evaluate any issues that you would like to address as well as any other issues that may also require attention. While we recommend that all new patients have a cleaning, comprehensive examination, and appropriate set of x-rays, we understand that in certain cases, new patients may wish to address a problematic issue first. For this reason, we can offer a few different types of initial visits: Problem-focused consultation (and treatment, if emergency issue) with Dr. Alan or Dr. Evan. Cleaning with hygienist, comprehensive examination, and further consultation with Dr. Alan Krause or Dr. Evan Krause. Regardless of the type of visit, we typically require some amount of digital x-rays to properly diagnose and screen for problems. For more information on the x-ray technology we use in our office, check out our Advanced Imaging page. For your convenience, you can fill out your registration forms online to save time at your first visit. You may also request an appointment online or call/text us at (973) 334-5556. We look forward to meeting you!

Can Small Cavities Heal by Themselves?

If you have a cavity and are reluctant to call your dentist, you may be hoping the cavity will just heal itself. A cavity is tooth decay that causes a hole in the tooth. If cavities are not treated more serious issues can develop. It is important to take care of your oral health and practice good habits at home. Attending your regular cleanings and exams in our office can identify if you have any cavities, and make sure they are addressed promptly.
